Today the band had its first rehearsal after the teacher's gig. Everyone was relaxed and happy. The best bit? I believe we have found our sax player, Glen. Don't be fooled by the name, Glen is a woman and she can play. She comes from a big band background and is looking forward to playing in a band where she is in the forefront of the music and not just another making up the numbers. I get the feeling she will find this a challenge, but a welcome one. We also tried out a keys player today, but I don't think he's keen. Seems that every keys player we try is expecting to be gigging yesterday. Bah! At least we have our horn player.

In other news, tomorrow is the big announcement at work about the changes. I know who I will be reporting to, but this will tell us the make up of the various teams. I'll keep you posted.

And so it begins. Another foray into website design for me. This template comes from the wonderful folks at Elated PageKits and I must say I'm rather thankful. My artistic skills aren't quite up to snuff at the best of times, so someone doing the arty bits for me is always nice.

I will update this page from time to time when the mood takes me or when something interesting happens. The links page will be added to as I think of things we want in there and the gallery will be added soon. Once I figure out how to do that, of course.
